RAILGRADE

RAILGRADE launched on October 13, 2023 and has since received a steady stream of substantial post-launch updates. Update #4 (November 21, 2023) added an in-game map maker and Steam Workshop support. Update #5 (December 21, 2023) delivered a full procedurally generated Sandbox Mode. Update #6 (April 7, 2024) added a Nuclear production chain, Warehouses, and Sandbox improvements. The most recent major release, Update #7 (June 26, 2025), delivered a free bonus campaign called "Rapid Repo Rescue" — an 11-mission campaign built by a community map maker, featuring new buildings, industries, trains, and a new Natural Gas & Hydrogen energy production chain. The developer's closing message in that post is notably valedictory in tone: "When we started working on Railgrade I wanted to keep supporting it far beyond release… That is why we made this bonus campaign and are releasing it for free. I think Railgrade is special, and I am thankful to everyone who supported us over the years." This reads as a warm send-off rather than a promise of more to come. Crucially, the November 2024 teaser post (NEWS-2), in which the developer hinted at a "secret project only a handful of trusted players have been able to playtest," was almost certainly referring to the Rapid Repo Rescue bonus campaign that shipped in Update #7. That campaign was confirmed to have been playtested by a select group of Discord members, matching the earlier description exactly. There is no outstanding announced content beyond what has already shipped. The developer has not announced any further updates, DLC, or roadmap items since Update #7. There are no unreleased DLC entries on the store. The game launched as a complete campaign experience and has since been expanded substantially through free updates, all of which have now shipped. RAILGRADE appears to be content-complete as of June 26, 2025.
