Random Chat launched on March 28, 2023 as a visual novel dating sim based on the Naver Webtoon of the same name. The day after launch, the developer posted an announcement responding to player feedback, committing to write a new free scenario mode ("Dating Sim Mode" / 미연시 모드) with individual routes for each heroine, to be released sequentially.
The developer followed through on that promise in full. The new mode's routes were delivered across three updates: the Hamin route on September 7, 2023; the Seong-a route on March 26, 2024; and finally the Yuri and Lira routes together on December 23, 2024. Each update was marked as a free addition to the base game.
After the December 2024 update completed the route lineup, a minor security patch was issued on October 9, 2025 — the only post-completion communication, and purely maintenance in nature. There are no unreleased DLC entries, no announced future content, and no roadmap or developer statement indicating further updates are planned. The original post-launch commitment to deliver all four heroine routes has been fully satisfied.
The sole DLC on the store is the game's OST, which released on October 28, 2023 and has no pending content.
The game appears to have reached its intended final state with the December 23, 2024 update completing all promised route content.
