Evaluation

Ravenous Horde launched on November 6, 2025. Shortly after release, the developer published a candid post-mortem on November 19, 2025 acknowledging that the game had earned only $203 in gross revenue in its first two weeks — a clear commercial failure. In that post, developer Rinke discussed lessons learned and the future direction of their work. The game received a handful of patches in the weeks following launch: a PvE mode was added on November 11, 2025, and balance and performance patches followed through December 8, 2025, which appears to be the last update. On April 24, 2026, the developer announced a new project — a roguelite called Ultimate Wizard — while mentioning an intention to "return to Ravenous Horde zombie action in the future." This statement is vague and unspecific, offering no concrete plans, roadmap, or timeline for additional Ravenous Horde content. There is no unreleased DLC, no announced expansion or update roadmap, and no concrete commitment to future content. The developer's own post-mortem framed the project as a learning experience rather than a live product with ongoing development. The most recent developer communication was on April 24, 2026, in the context of announcing a new game. The last actual content patch was December 8, 2025. Given the commercial failure acknowledged by the developer, the pivot to a new project, and the absence of any announced future content, the game appears to be functionally complete as shipped.
