Redfall launched on May 1, 2023 and received a series of post-launch patches and updates from Arkane Austin. Three major content updates were released: Game Update 2 (October 6, 2023), Game Update 3 (November 16, 2023), and Game Update 4 (May 30, 2024). Game Update 4 is particularly notable: its accompanying note reads as a farewell from the studio — "From everyone at Arkane Austin, thank you for playing our games and loving our worlds, it's been an honor to deliver these experiences to you." This closing message, combined with the fact that there have been zero developer communications of any kind since May 30, 2024 — over 13 months ago — strongly indicates Game Update 4 was the studio's final update for Redfall. This is consistent with the widely reported closure of Arkane Austin by Microsoft/Bethesda in May 2024, which coincided precisely with this final update. The Hero Pass, which had been teased in the Game Update 3 notes as future content, was never delivered — and no further commitments or announcements have appeared since. The only DLC on record is the original soundtrack, which released at launch. With no outstanding commitments, no developer communications since May 30, 2024, and a farewell message attached to the last update, the game's content development is complete.
