REKA has been in Early Access since September 12, 2024 and has received several major content updates during that time: Roots & Remedies (May 12, 2025), Ashes & Ancestors (October 23, 2025), and a substantial quality-of-life update on June 25, 2026 — each adding new story chapters, biomes, crafting systems, and gameplay features alongside regular patches.
The developer originally targeted August 18, 2026 for the 1.0 launch but postponed it on August 11, 2026 to allow more time for bug fixing and polish. A public 1.0 beta branch opened on September 3, 2026, featuring new building materials, quests, animals, and map generation improvements — though the final story chapter was intentionally withheld from the beta for internal testing.
On September 9, 2026, the developer confirmed a new 1.0 release date of October 26, 2026. The most recent news post, dated September 29, 2026, announced the return of an improved demo and reiterated that "REKA 1.0 is coming October 26th."
