Relic Hunters Zero: Remix is a free-to-play top-down shooter that originally launched on August 18, 2015, and received consistent major updates over several years. The game's update history shows four significant content releases: a Year 2 overhaul (August 2016), Steam Workshop support (August 2017), The Storm game mode (May 2019), and finally the Remix Update on February 11, 2021 — a comprehensive remaster adding new weapons, character skins, a new soundtrack, and bug fixes. The Remix Update on February 11, 2021 appears to represent the culmination of the game's development arc. A publisher transition post from December 2019 (Akupara Games taking over from Rogue Snail) explicitly framed the Remix as the planned new content for the game, and that content shipped as promised.
