Relic Odyssey : Ruins Of Xantao

Relic Odyssey: Ruins of Xantao entered Steam Early Access on January 27, 2024. The small indie studio, Honour Bound Game Studios, was initially quite active — shipping major updates roughly every 4–6 weeks through the first half of 2024. Key milestones included Alpha 0.1.5 on March 5, 2024 (new levels, bosses, dungeons), the first fully-playable build on March 22, 2024, the 0.2.6.1 Beta on April 16, 2024 (world map, new areas, enemies), and the substantial version 0.6.1-beta on July 6, 2024 (6 new underground levels, new enemies, major rig system overhaul). However, the July 6, 2024 post is the last official communication from the developer. No updates, patch notes, blog posts, or announcements have appeared since then. The game remains in Early Access with version numbers still well below 1.0, and no 1.0 release date has been announced. An earlier post from March 2024 mentioned a planned Q2 2024 full release, but that target was never met and was quietly abandoned. With nearly 12 months of silence as of June 2026, and the game still in an unfinished Early Access state, there is genuine uncertainty about whether development is continuing. The studio is small and may still be working on the game without posting updates, but the absence of any communication since July 6, 2024 means players cannot confirm the game is still being actively developed toward its 1.0 goal.
