Evaluation
Remoteness launched on September 23, 2022. In the launch announcement, the developer described the game as "the final result of our hard work" — language that presents the game as a completed creative work rather than the beginning of an ongoing content cycle. Following launch, KR Games shipped several patches (builds 1.80, 1.90, and 1.92) through March 30, 2023, addressing performance, AI improvements, and quality-of-life fixes. However, none of these updates introduced new areas, story content, or named expansions — they were refinements to the existing game. The last developer communication of any kind was on March 30, 2023, and there have been no posts, patches, or announcements since that date. No DLC has been listed on the store, no roadmap or future content has ever been announced, and the store description makes no mention of planned expansions or ongoing seasons. The game launched as a self-contained experience and has received no signals — from the developer or the store — indicating additional content was ever planned.
Evidence
Launch post describes the game as 'the final result of our hard work,' framing it as a completed product rather than the start of an ongoing content roadmap.
Last developer communication: version 1.92 patch with performance improvements, texture compression, and gamepad fixes. No new content or future plans mentioned.
