Republique

Republique is a five-episode episodic stealth-action game that has been fully completed. The developer, Camouflaj, shipped all five episodes on Steam, with the final episode — Episode 5: Terminus — releasing on March 22, 2016. In the accompanying announcement, Camouflaj explicitly described it as "the fifth and final chapter of République," called it "the finish line," and reflected on the four-year journey from announcement to completion. This is a clear developer statement that the game's story content is finished. Following the conclusion of the main episodes, Camouflaj continued to support the game with additional polish: a major Fall 2018 update added gamepad support, new costumes, a Unity engine upgrade, Japanese language support, and hundreds of bug fixes. In June 2020, Republique VR — a reimagining of the game built for virtual reality — was made available free to all Republique owners on Steam. These were post-completion enhancements, not new story content. In July 2022, to mark Camouflaj's ten-year anniversary, the studio made the entire game free on Steam. No new content has been announced or released since then. The game launched as a complete package with all five episodes, and no further content is expected.
