Road to Ballhalla

Road to Ballhalla launched on August 5, 2016 and received a healthy stream of patches and updates in its first two years. The most significant post-launch content drop was the "Rerolled" update on August 6, 2018, which added new levels, ball styles, achievements, and settings — all free. That update was timed to coincide with the game's console launch (PS4, Xbox One, Switch) and represented the developer's largest content addition to the game. Since the Rerolled update, the developer's focus has clearly shifted away from Ballhalla. A development status post on August 5, 2021 (the game's 5th anniversary) acknowledged the team was "busy working on our next game" while delivering only minor bug fixes. A further bug fix patch arrived on February 18, 2024. Most recently, on March 15, 2026, the developer posted about their new title, NIGHTFALL WAVES — a separate game entirely — confirming the studio's attention has moved on. There are no unreleased DLC, no roadmap commitments, no announced future content for Ballhalla, and no sustained pattern of major updates since 2018. The only DLC is the soundtrack, which shipped on August 8, 2016. The developer has never explicitly stated "Ballhalla is done," but their own communications make clear that new content development concluded with the Rerolled update in August 2018, and subsequent activity has been limited to occasional maintenance patches. The game shipped as a complete product and the Rerolled update served as its definitive content expansion.
