Rock 'N' Roll Defense launched on August 10, 2016 as a complete tower defense game with 40 stages, 20 enemy types, and 8 tower types. Its only DLC — a soundtrack pack — was released at launch in March 2016. The game received no post-launch content updates until September 25, 2023, when the developer added seven new languages and made some menu usability improvements. That has been the last update specific to this game. Since then, NukGames' developer posts have been entirely focused on a new project called Burning Skies, including demo announcements, an arcade spin-off release, and ultimately the retirement of that arcade spin-off in April 2026. There is no announced future content for Rock 'N' Roll Defense, no unreleased DLC, and no developer statement indicating further updates are planned. The game was delivered as a self-contained product and the developer's attention has clearly moved on to other projects.
