Evaluation
Rune Classic is a Steam re-release of the original Rune (2000), bundled with its multiplayer expansion pack Halls of Valhalla. It was made available on Steam on June 13, 2012 as a complete, self-contained package. The store description presents it straightforwardly as a classic game release with no mention of planned future content, additional DLC, or ongoing development. The only post-launch developer communication was a compatibility patch on June 25, 2018 updating the game to work with DirectX 11 and Windows 10 — purely a maintenance update. There is no DLC listed, no roadmap, and no developer statements suggesting any additional content was ever planned beyond what shipped at launch. This game was released as a finished product and has remained so.
