Serial Cleaner

Serial Cleaner launched on July 14, 2017 and was largely dormant for nearly eight years before receiving a surprise new DLC. In March 2025, Draw Distance and publisher Curve Games announced Blood & Confetti, a paid DLC expansion adding three new festival-themed levels (Chinese New Year, Día de los Muertos, and Mardi Gras), a new story, and a fresh soundtrack. The DLC shipped on June 12, 2025 after a brief delay from its original April 28 date. A follow-up patch on August 21, 2025 reintroduced Challenges and fixed several bugs. In the launch post, the developers described the DLC as a warm revisit to a beloved game — noting that only two people from the original 2017 team remained and that the project required significant effort to revive. The tone of the announcement was retrospective and celebratory rather than forward-looking, with no mention of further planned content. Both DLC items in the store listing are now released, and no unreleased content has been announced. The August 21, 2025 patch appears to be the final piece of post-DLC polish. With no outstanding commitments and no developer communication suggesting more content is on the way, the game and its DLC appear complete as of that patch date.
