Evaluation
Shadow Ninja: Apocalypse launched on November 16, 2015. In the months following launch, Boogygames Studios shipped a series of updates: new characters, trading cards, a Kunai weapon, and finally a substantial Update #4 on November 5, 2016 that added a Sword weapon, new enemy types, 35 new levels, a game design overhaul, a new story ending, and updated UI. That November 2016 update represents the last developer communication of any kind — no posts, patches, or announcements have followed in the nearly ten years since. The single DLC, Shadow Ninja: Endless Runner, shipped on the same day as the base game (November 16, 2015) and is fully released. The store description presents the game as a complete, self-contained experience with no mention of future content. There is no roadmap, no unreleased DLC, and no developer statement indicating further development. The game launched as a compact finished product and received its final meaningful update on November 5, 2016.
Evidence
Update #4 added a new Sword weapon, new enemy types, 35 new levels, a game design overhaul, a new story ending, and updated UI. This is the last developer communication on record.
The only DLC, Shadow Ninja: Endless Runner, was released on launch day and is fully available.

About this game
Shadow Ninja: Apocalypse is a fast and unforgiving 2D action game where everything depends on your reaction and sense of rhythm.
You are a ninja in a ruined world. Traps, enemies and constant pressure surround you. Mistakes are not forgiven. Each run is an attempt to go further than before.
There are no complex systems here. Only movement, combat and survival.
What’s inside
- Fast gameplay
The pace never lets you relax. You must stay focused at all times.
- Simple controls
Easy to start, hard to maintain consistent results.
- Traps and enemies
Jumps, dodges and attacks flow into one continuous sequence.
- Short sessions
You can play for a few minutes, but it’s hard to stop.
- “One more try” effect
Every run makes you want to replay it better.
The core of the game
You don’t explore the world.
You try to survive in it.
And with each attempt, you become faster.
