Shinobi Non Grata launched on May 24, 2023 as a self-contained 2D ninja action game with a defined story, set stages, and a fixed roster of weapons and enemies. The store description presents a complete, bounded experience with no mention of expansions, season passes, or additional content.
After launch, Studio PICO issued several bug fix patches (versions 1.0.1 through 1.0.6) and a language expansion update in January 2024 adding eight new languages — all maintenance work rather than new content. Crucially, by September 2023 the studio announced their next project, "The Scramble Vice," and a March 2024 developer blog post explicitly describes Scramble Vice as "Studio PICO's next project after Shinobi Non Grata," signaling that development focus has fully moved on.
