Shrine

Shrine is a retro first-person shooter built in the Doom engine that launched on April 3, 2020 as a complete, self-contained package. The store listing describes a fixed set of content: 8 weapons, 13 enemies, and 16 levels — language consistent with a finished product rather than a game receiving ongoing updates. The only developer post after launch, from September 8, 2020, announced a separate sequel — Shrine II — coming to Steam. This is a standalone successor game, not additional content for Shrine itself. No DLC, updates, expansions, or roadmaps have ever been announced for the original Shrine, and there has been no developer communication of any kind since that announcement in September 2020.
