DUSK launched on December 10, 2018 and has continued receiving substantial updates for years. The developer shipped the full DUSK HD visual remaster — with completely remade models, textures, weapons, and enemies — on December 11, 2023, alongside a full SDK and Steam Workshop integration. In September 2024, previously console-exclusive endless maps were brought to PC via Steam Workshop. On December 4, 2024 (the game's 6th anniversary), the developer explicitly stated they were still working on custom enemy and weapon support for the SDK. On April 14, 2025, a feature patch delivered model replacement support via Steam Workshop and directly stated that weapon modding is next. The December 4, 2025 announcement of a canonical DUSK spinoff, Dungeons of DUSK, planned for 2026, further demonstrates continued investment in the DUSK universe. All three listed DLC items have shipped. The developer has not signaled any conclusion to ongoing SDK and content work, and the last developer communication was October 31, 2025 — well within the historical update cadence.

DUSK reintroduces you to a world where butchery and bloodshed must be mastered... if you're to survive 'til dawn. Inspired by Doom, Quake, Blood, Heretic, Hexen, Half-Life, Redneck Rampage and all your '90s favorites, while featuring a soundtrack by metal music mastermind Andrew Hulshult.
