Golden Chambers

Golden Chambers entered Steam Early Access on May 12, 2025, and is explicitly marked as an unfinished game. The developer, Mr. Pink (MrPinkDev), published a detailed Early Access roadmap on May 5, 2025, outlining three priority areas still to be delivered: gameplay and story content (more guns, equipment, skills, enemies, bosses, locations, and quests), extra gameplay systems (horse racing, fishing), and overall balancing and optimization. Since launch, development has been consistent and productive. Major content additions have included Chapter 3 with Dry Hole Town and a new booze-powered flamethrower (September 1, 2025), along with the Trail of Blood permadeath game mode. Feature patches have continued through 2026, including the Trail of Blood co-op mode entering alpha testing on February 17, 2026, and a fully playable second chapter noted in a June 20, 2026 patch. The most recent update on August 1, 2026 added a horse crap kicking competition and gun-based fishing — one of the systems specifically mentioned in the pre-launch roadmap. On July 17, 2026, the developer released a separate new game (Dead Night Highway) and directly addressed concerns about Golden Chambers, stating: "Don't be worry, work on Golden Chambers is still going! We just need a little more monies to finish it." This is an explicit confirmation that development is ongoing and that the game is not yet complete. The developer's framing — needing more funds to *finish* the game — reinforces that Early Access is far from over. Communication and updates have continued right up to August 2026 with no signs of slowing.
