Evaluation

SimPocalypse launched out of Early Access on May 11, 2021. The studio was actively updating the game throughout Early Access, shipping major updates roughly every 4–6 weeks from January through June 2021. However, on September 2, 2021, the developer posted a candid statement explaining that the game's launch did not perform well enough commercially to sustain regular updates, forcing the team to shift focus to other work. They mentioned a desire to deliver one more "sizeable update" in their spare time, but acknowledged this would not be a sustained development effort. No such update ever appeared in the news feed, and there have been no developer communications of any kind since that September 2, 2021 post — nearly five years of silence. There are no unreleased DLC entries on the store, no announced roadmap items outstanding from after the 1.0 launch, and no indication of continued development. The game's content should be considered complete as it stood at the time of that final communication.
Evidence
Developer explicitly stated that the game's launch did not generate enough revenue to sustain regular updates, and the team had to shift focus elsewhere to pay the bills. They expressed hope to deliver one more update in their spare time but offered no commitment or timeline. This is the last known developer communication.
