Sir, You Are Being Hunted

Sir, You Are Being Hunted launched in full on May 2, 2014, graduating from Early Access. The developer, Big Robot Ltd, then completed the game's originally promised feature set — most notably the multiplayer component — with its Multiplayer V1.0 release on October 7, 2015. In that announcement, Big Robot explicitly stated: "Sir, You Are Being Hunted is feature complete." All Kickstarter stretch goals were confirmed as fulfilled at that time. After several years of silence, partner studio Den of Thieves Games took over the codebase in 2021 and delivered a substantial technical update (patch 1.5) in September 2021, restoring multiplayer servers, adding 64-bit Mac support, and fixing long-standing bugs. In that same announcement, Big Robot and Den of Thieves announced a separate standalone product — the "Reinvented Edition" — targeting a February 2022 release on a new Steam page (App ID 1743730). This is a distinct game, not additional content for the classic edition. The developer communications in September–October 2021 are clear that the Classic Edition's role going forward is to be kept in a stable, playable state, not to receive new gameplay content. Den of Thieves explicitly stated their goal was "an up-to-date, bug-free and improved version of the 2013 original" without changing gameplay or balancing. The last update to the Classic Edition was patch 1.5.2 on October 15, 2021, focused on bug fixes. There have been no further developer communications about new content for the Classic Edition since that date. The Reinvented Edition is a separate product on a separate store page and does not constitute unannounced content for this game. The Classic Edition stands as a complete, finished product.
