SKYHILL: Black Mist

SKYHILL: Black Mist launched on June 11, 2020 and received a significant wave of post-launch support from Mandragora. After a rough launch (the developer candidly acknowledged a 17% review score on day one), the studio parted ways with their publisher in September 2020 and committed to continuing development independently. They followed through with a sustained series of updates through early 2021. Two notable major free updates were delivered post-launch: the Navigation Update in October 2020, which overhauled the UI and level design, and the landmark Update 1.2 on March 8, 2021, which added a brand new "Clinic" location, a new "Deadly Roulette" mechanic, a completely rebuilt save system, and extensive level design reworks. Following Update 1.2, the developer shipped two more feature patches in late March and early April 2021, then a final bug-fix patch on May 13, 2021. After May 13, 2021, there are no further developer communications in the news record. The update cadence — with major releases roughly every 3-5 months during the active period — has long since lapsed with no new posts for over five years (last communication was May 13, 2021). No future content was announced in any post, no roadmap beyond what was already delivered remains outstanding, and the developer did not signal any continuation plans after the final patch. Both DLC items (the soundtrack and digital goodies pack) were released at or before launch and are cosmetic/supplementary in nature. The game's support cycle appears to have concluded naturally after the 1.2 patch series wrapped up in spring 2021. With no outstanding commitments, no further developer communication since May 13, 2021, and a long-elapsed update window, the game is best understood as a complete, finished product.
