Solar Settlers

Solar Settlers launched on July 21, 2017 and received a steady stream of meaningful updates in its first two years. The developer shipped four named content patches post-launch: Patch 1.04 "The Therlunai" (September 25, 2017), Patch 1.05 "The Void" (December 4, 2017), Patch 1.06 "Expert Exploration" (August 30, 2018), and Patch 1.07 "Secrets of the Galaxy" (August 27, 2019). Each of these brought new races, cards, modes, or substantial content additions. The August 2019 patch was described by the developer as "probably the biggest update I've ever done to any BrainGoodGame," and appears to mark the end of that content development cycle. Since then, activity has dropped to maintenance-level work: a Windows bug-fix patch in February 2022, a macOS compatibility update in April 2023, a minor click-delay option added in December 2025, and a small visual bugfix in April 2026. None of these post-2019 updates introduced new content — they are purely technical upkeep. The developer has made no announcements of planned expansions, new content, or future development beyond keeping the game running. There are no unreleased DLC listings and no roadmap. The game appears to have reached its content-complete state with the August 2019 patch, with the developer continuing to keep it functional on modern platforms.
