SOULS

SOULS is a visual novel that released on August 14, 2017 as a complete, standalone story. Its only released DLC is a soundtrack pack from August 24, 2017 — no gameplay or story content was ever added to the base game after launch. For years, developer Team Fork worked on a sequel called Another SOULS, which was teased as early as 2018 and saw a free demo/preview chapter released in February 2023. However, on August 17, 2025, the developer posted an update explicitly stating that the Another SOULS sequel has been abandoned: "writing made me very confused and tired, and frankly it was terrible, so even though the story was completed to a certain degree, I ultimately chose not to release it." The developer announced they are now moving on to an entirely new project tentatively called "The Choice." This means SOULS itself launched as a finished product and has remained complete. The long-promised sequel will not be released. No further content for SOULS or Another SOULS is planned.
