Sound Slide was removed from the Steam store on January 16, 2026. The developer, IronEqual, announced this on January 14, 2026, explaining that the studio is moving on to new projects and chose to retire some of their earlier titles from the store. The game is no longer available for purchase, though existing owners retain access through their Steam libraries. The game itself launched on January 24, 2019 as a student project from Supinfogame Rubika school, received a bug fix patch on January 27, 2019, and had no further development activity before being delisted.
