Evaluation

Space Choice: Data Analyzer is a free, self-described "little experimental game" that Silver Dollar Games released on March 1, 2021. The store description explicitly frames it as a small passion project — "It's just a little project we wanted to share with whoever had a few extra minutes on their hands" — with no mention of ongoing development, planned content, or future updates. After launch, the developer issued a couple of early patches in March 2021 for bug fixes and minor balancing, then delivered a more substantial rebalance update on March 14, 2022, which the developer described as a "complete rebalance" bringing the game in line with its original casual design vision. That March 14, 2022 post is the last developer activity directly related to this game. The news posts tagged to this game also include announcements for other Silver Dollar Games titles (Blade Flash Death, Little Obedient Robot, Godspell Defender), which are separate free games the studio released during the same period — not additional content for Space Choice. The most recent of these cross-promotional posts is from May 23, 2022, and there have been no posts of any kind since then. With no DLC, no announced future content, no unreleased items on the store, and the developer's own framing of the game as a small finished project, the game is complete. The last meaningful content-related update was the full rebalance on March 14, 2022.

First, pick the type of ship you want

Secondly, pick the type of weapon to equip to your ship

Then the ship is sent to the front lines to automatically fight for you.

Once in a while, you'll get a permanent upgrade.

And once in a while, you'll get a combat pick that could drastically change the outcome of the battle.

Time is a factor

In the early levels, you'll have plenty of time to make your choices as you learn what everything does. But as you advance throughout the stages, eventually you'll reach the game's natural speed, which allows for only 4 seconds per choice.

This game is really about looking at numbers really quickly, over and over again. However, there are times when strategic choices come into play, especially when dealing with point defense weapons, nukes, and other weapon types.

Additionally, planning out a strategy for your permanent upgrades early on will help you win in the late game. Actually, I'm not sure if the game is beatable without planning your permanent upgrades.
