Speed Brawl

Speed Brawl launched on September 18, 2018 and received a burst of post-launch development activity. In late 2018, Double Stallion published a multi-part roadmap outlining planned improvements including competitive versus mode, new costumes, platinum/S-rank trophies, item revisions, and enemy reworks. By March 2019, these features were ready to demo at PAX East, indicating the planned content was delivered. The game received a cross-play update on July 5, 2021 (adding PC-console cross-play and Simplified Chinese localization) and a backend maintenance patch on November 21, 2022 to update Epic Online Services integration. That November 2022 patch is the last developer communication on record for Speed Brawl. There is only one major content release logged across the game's entire history, and the developer's attention has clearly shifted to their next title, Surfpunk — a new co-op game they announced playtests for in October 2025. No future content for Speed Brawl has been announced, no unreleased DLC exists on the store, and the post-launch update activity wound down years ago. The game is a complete, standalone product.
