Stand Out VR left Early Access and officially launched on May 17, 2019. At launch, the developer confirmed the game was out of Early Access but stated that a new map was in development and more content was planned.
Following that launch commitment, the developer delivered: a reworked first map and updated Greek map on May 7, 2021, a new smaller map on August 17, 2021, and additional weapon and item spawns for the Killing Sun map on September 14, 2021. This represents a meaningful burst of post-launch content updates through mid-2021.
After September 14, 2021, the developer's update activity dropped off significantly. The only post after that date is an October 15, 2023 announcement teasing a "Nostalgic Build" — a retro-themed version of the game — but this post is vague, contains no release date, and no follow-up communication has appeared since then. There are no further news posts, patches, or developer communications after October 2023 through the current date of June 27, 2026.
The historical major content cadence across 2021 ran at roughly one release every 2–4 months, but no major content has shipped since September 2021 — nearly five years ago. The October 2023 teaser could indicate something was planned at that time, but with no subsequent update in over two and a half years, and no evidence the "Nostalgic Build" was ever released, the teaser appears to have not led to a concrete release.
