Evaluation
Star Ruler 2 launched out of Early Access on March 27, 2015 after an extensive beta period during which Blind Mind Studios shipped regular feature updates. The game received one paid expansion — Wake of the Heralds — which released on April 22, 2016, alongside a major v2.0.0 base game update. That expansion is the only DLC listed on the store, and it is fully released. No additional DLC or expansions have been announced or listed. Developer news posts end with the Wake of the Heralds release in April 2016; there have been no developer communications since then. The store description contains no language indicating future content, seasons, or ongoing updates. With a single shipped expansion, no announced or unreleased follow-up content, and a developer communication record that concluded in April 2016, the game appears to have wrapped up its content cycle at that point. It launched as a feature-complete product and received one expansion that concluded its post-launch content.
