Star Wars Empire at War originally launched in 2006 alongside its Forces of Corruption expansion, and the Gold Pack bundling both arrived on Steam on May 25, 2010. This is a classic, complete RTS package — the base game and its one expansion are both fully shipped and included together.
Petroglyph returned to the game in September 2017 to restore multiplayer support, add Steam Workshop mod support, and deliver various technical improvements. Since then, the developer has continued to issue periodic maintenance patches — converting the game to 64-bit in November 2023, and delivering another round of performance and stability fixes in October 2024. These updates are all technical maintenance: bug fixes, performance improvements, and compatibility work. No new story content, expansions, or announced DLC have accompanied any of these patches.
There are no unreleased DLC items listed on the store, no developer roadmap or promises of future content, and no post-launch content cycle to speak of. The game shipped as a complete, self-contained package and has been kept in good working order through ongoing technical stewardship. Anyone waiting for all the content can consider this collection complete.
