Evaluation

TASMON: Taskbar Monsters launched on August 11, 2026 and is explicitly built as an ongoing live-service game. The store description states that "new species keep arriving with every update" and describes a weekly update cycle directly fed by an in-game player suggestion box — the developer has architected the game around perpetual, community-driven content delivery. The structural live-service machinery is well established: a rotating Score League competition runs in two-month seasons (Season 1, "Drowsy Realm," launched September 13, 2026 with ten season-exclusive characters), a monetized Battle Pass and Enhanced Pass provide recurring revenue, and the developer ships major content drops and feature patches on a near-weekly cadence. Since launch in August 2026, the developer has shipped five major content updates in just seven weeks: the Heroes endgame mode (August 23), six new difficulty tiers plus 23 new monsters (August 30), Hero Series Vol.2 with two new heroes and 15 redrawn monsters (September 5), a second tier of difficulties, Score League, and the Heart system (September 13), and Hero Series Vol.3 with rebuilt etching (September 27). Feature patches and bug fixes have been posted almost every week as well, with the most recent communication on September 29, 2026. This cadence, combined by the developer's own explicit commitment to weekly updates, confirms an active, ongoing content pipeline with no end announced.

About this game

While you work, your monsters fight.

TASMON: Taskbar Monsters is an idle RPG that lives in your desktop taskbar. While you're at work, your party of three auto-battles on its own — bringing back eggs and loot. Pop in now and then to retune your team and hunt for perfect rolls. That's it.

🥚 Collect 156+ monsters

Hatch eggs, evolve and awaken them. Ten rarity tiers (Common → … → Celestial), with fewer species at the top so chasing a specific one never loses its value. New species keep arriving with every update.

⚡ Awakened forms change everything

A six-stage awakening ladder: same-species guarantees +1 stage, off-species is a shard-based roll. Max out Awakening VI and your monster ascends into a Soul-Sealed Weapon — a one-of-a-kind armament, stamped with its own serial number, that exists nowhere else in the world.

🎲 Loot-hunt depth with fully disclosed odds

Gear combines drops, option rows and unique effects. Fuse duplicates into something better with the Cube, re-roll to min-max, and push numbers further with etching. Every drop rate is disclosed in-game.

🔥 Elemental strategy that never soft-locks you

A fire/water/wind/earth cycle plus light/dark. In the "Gauntlet" stages, incoming damage spikes hard — you'll need elemental defense or a resistance team to survive. Brute-force with awakened power, or out-strategize with typing: both routes clear it. Normal → Nightmare → Hell → Torment.

🗳 A game we build together

• Send feedback in one click from the in-game Suggestion Box — you don't even have to leave the game

• Weekly updates are prioritized from player voices. New monsters, balance, UI — what gets built next starts with you

• Implemented suggestions are credited every week in-game and in Steam announcements. Your one-liner becomes the next patch note
