Evaluation

Terror of Hemasaurus launched on October 17, 2022 as a retro city-smashing arcade game. Since launch, the solo developer Loren Lemcke has shipped substantial post-launch content: console ports to PlayStation and Xbox in December 2022, and a new playable monster — Paingo the pangolin — added on October 14, 2024 as a free update. The Paingo update had a rocky road: a June 2024 post disclosed that business-side issues were blocking updates, but the developer ultimately resolved this with help from Kittehface Software and shipped the update in October 2024. Most notably, as recently as December 7, 2025, the developer confirmed that "one more announcement for Hemasaurus" is still in the works, following an earlier September 15, 2025 teaser that described something personally concerning the game's monster roster. This is an active, explicit developer statement that further content or news is coming. The developer is simultaneously working on a new game (Super Blood Hockey: Rogue Manager), but has clearly distinguished that from the pending Hemasaurus announcement. The only DLC listed is the soundtrack (released January 12, 2023), so no unreleased DLC is visible on the store — but the developer's own words make clear something is still planned.
