The Abandoned Planet

The Abandoned Planet is a self-contained, solo-developed point-and-click adventure game that launched as a complete package on August 29, 2024. Prior to launch, developer Jeremy Fryc explicitly confirmed on April 24, 2024 that the game was fully finished, and the August 29 launch post listed everything included: all 5 acts, a final cutscene, animated credits, New Game Plus "Escape Mode," an artwork gallery, a game script, a Flappy Ship mini-game, and localization in 11 languages. The developer described releasing "literally every feature you wanted" at launch. Following release, the only post-launch communication was a minor patch on August 30, 2024 adding resizable window support and fixing a small bug in Act 4 — routine polish, not new content. There are no unreleased DLC listings, no announced expansions, no roadmap for future content, and no season pass. The game has no ongoing content structure. There has been no developer communication since August 30, 2024, but this is entirely consistent with the game having launched as a complete, finished product. The developer never suggested further content additions after launch. This is a finished adventure game with a clear beginning, middle, and end — the kind of product designed to be purchased and played through, not updated indefinitely.
