The Bonerooms

The Bonerooms launched on October 30, 2024 and has received a consistent stream of major free content updates since then. The Revival Update shipped on May 14, 2025, converting the game to free-to-play and adding new items, a new enemy, emotes, and cosmetic support. The Mysteries and Mannequins update followed on October 23, 2025, adding new hazards and enemies. On July 31, 2026, the Escape Update launched fully — a brand-new dedicated co-op game mode featuring procedurally generated floors, new items, and new enemies. Just two days later, on August 2, 2026, the developer shipped another patch (version 1.5.02) with gamepad improvements and miscellaneous fixes, confirming continued active engagement with the game. The developer has acknowledged that work on console ports of their other game, CULTIC, competes for their time, but they have consistently continued delivering content to Bonerooms regardless. No announcement of concluded development has been made. The established pattern of major releases roughly every 5–9 months, combined with the most recent major update arriving on July 31, 2026, places the game well within its active update window.
