The Bonfire 2: Uncharted Shores

The Bonfire 2: Uncharted Shores launched on August 21, 2020 as a build/survive/explore strategy game. After release, the developer shipped one major free content update — the Dungeon Update on August 4, 2022 — which added dungeons, new buildings, new enemies, a final boss, and several hours of additional gameplay. This represents the game's only major post-launch content milestone. The store description includes a line stating "We have plans to expand more in the world map post-launch," however this language appears to have been written at or shortly after launch and was not reiterated in any subsequent developer communication. The Dungeon Update, announced in August 2021 and released in August 2022, was a substantial expansion of the world map and exploration systems — it very plausibly fulfilled that original promise. Following the Dungeon Update, the developer's only further communication was a bug fix patch (Update 2.1.0) on December 21, 2023, addressing minor issues. There are no unreleased DLC entries on the store (the only DLC is the soundtrack, released October 30, 2020). No roadmap, sequel teaser, or announcement of additional content has been published since the Dungeon Update shipped. The developer has been silent since December 21, 2023 — over 18 months as of today — with no content announcements, no roadmap, and no stated future plans. With a single major content release in the game's history, no outstanding commitments, and an extended period of silence, the game appears to have reached the end of its content development. The most recent patch date of December 21, 2023 is used as the completion date, as it represents the last confirmed developer activity on the product.
