The Book of Unwritten Tales: The Critter Chronicles launched on December 5, 2012 as a standalone expansion to The Book of Unwritten Tales. It is a self-contained point-and-click adventure offering 10–12 hours of gameplay with a complete narrative arc. The only DLC on record is a "Digital Extras" pack (soundtrack, wallpapers, etc.), which has been released. The developer's news activity on this game's Steam page is entirely focused on the sequel, The Book of Unwritten Tales 2, which entered Early Access in September 2014 and fully launched on February 20, 2015. There have been no post-launch content updates, patches, or announcements for The Critter Chronicles itself, and no future content has ever been hinted at or promised. The game shipped as a complete, finished product and has remained that way.
