The Complex: Found Footage

The Complex: Found Footage launched on August 18, 2022 as a walking simulator experience. On September 29, 2022, the developer announced they were shifting focus to a sequel — The Complex: Expedition — described as a larger, paid follow-up project. Subsequent developer communications in 2023 (trailers, teasers, and a release date reveal) were all focused on that sequel rather than new content for Found Footage. The April 16, 2026 update to Found Footage was a UI rework to align its interface with The Complex: Expedition's visual theme, along with minor options additions — this is a maintenance and cosmetic update, not new story or world content. The developer's note in that post ("More updates and news coming soon on upcoming projects") refers to the broader studio pipeline, not to new content for Found Footage specifically. Found Footage appears to have launched and been completed as a self-contained experience, with the December 2022 patch representing the last meaningful content addition.
