The Dwarves launched on December 1, 2016 as a complete, story-driven RPG based on the Markus Heitz novel. Its only DLC is a Digital Deluxe Edition bundle that also released on launch day — there are no additional DLC packs listed, released or otherwise. The last known developer communication was a feature patch on March 13, 2017, which added a new "Challenges" game mode, new achievements, an additional difficulty setting, and several quality-of-life improvements. No developer posts, roadmaps, or content announcements have appeared since that date. There is no indication of planned future content, seasonal updates, or ongoing development. The game appears to have shipped as a complete narrative package and received one round of post-launch improvements before going quiet — consistent with a game that has reached its final state.
