Evaluation
The Goatman launched on Steam on June 16, 2018 as an Early Access title. The developer — a solo or very small indie team — shipped a series of patches and feature updates through July 2018, with the last recorded update on July 9, 2018 (v0.71), which added cultists, new events, AI improvements, and engine updates. The store description still references "Early Access Game Features," but the Steam Early Access flag is no longer active, indicating the game has formally left Early Access. After July 9, 2018, there are no further developer communications, patch notes, roadmaps, or announcements of any kind. No unreleased DLC is listed. The developer has not announced any future content, and the update activity ceased entirely as of July 9, 2018 — nearly eight years ago as of today (June 27, 2026). The game launched as a small, low-budget co-op horror title and appears to have reached the end of its development cycle after a brief post-launch patch period. It shipped as a finished (if modest) product with no outstanding commitments.

There are 3 different characters you can play in the game. Set the hunting strategy according to the characteristics of the character you choose.Use the lights, explosives, traps and drone to catch Goatman. If the resources are exhausted, you can find new sources by finding the direction with the electronic compass and checking the buildings on the map. When you are looking for Goatman, you must be prepared for the threats that will come against you.
