Evaluation
The Journey Down: Chapter Three is explicitly described as "the final chapter" of The Journey Down series, both in the store description and the short description. The game launched on September 21, 2017 as a complete, standalone conclusion to the trilogy. Developer SkyGoblin's last known communication was a bug fix and localization patch on March 26, 2018, which added German language support and minor bug fixes — consistent with post-launch maintenance on a finished product. There has been no developer communication since that date, no unreleased DLC, and no announcements of future content. The game launched and was sold as a finished narrative conclusion, and no evidence suggests anything further was ever planned beyond the base release.
Evidence
Store description explicitly labels this as 'the final chapter' of The Journey Down, with the story reaching a 'bombastic conclusion'
