Evaluation
The Lady launched on January 29, 2015 as a complete 2D surreal puzzle horror game. Its only DLC releases were a soundtrack (February 12, 2015) and a wallpapers pack (June 16, 2016) — both cosmetic/supplemental items with no bearing on the game's content. The most significant post-launch development was the game going free-to-play in July 2018, which represents the final meaningful change to the product. The developer's attention shifted to a new title ("The Grandfather") as early as mid-2015, and a sequel ("The Lady: Lugubrious") was announced in December 2015, but neither of these affect the completeness of The Lady itself. There have been no developer communications of any kind since July 2018 — nearly eight years of silence. All DLC has been released, no future content has ever been announced for the base game, and the store description presents the game as a fully self-contained experience with a defined set of five levels and a complete story. The game launched and has remained a finished product throughout its life.
Evidence
Developer announced The Lady is going free-to-play, the last known official communication about the game.
Developer announced a sequel, 'The Lady: Lugubrious', to be worked on in 2016 — indicating the developer's focus moved away from the original game.

About this game
“The Lady” is an emotional 2D Surreal Puzzle Horror adventure.
The Lady is a surrealist emotional journey that takes The Lady through a series of fever dream hallucinations, while being at odds with inner struggles of anxiety and depression. She encounters multiple versions of herself throughout the game, unsure of which versions to trust. From the initial confusion, to all out anxiety that one would experience with panic disorder, it's all there for you to explore first hand through the eyes of The Lady.
The Gameplay Mechanics are inspired by classic SNES and Turbo Grafx16 type games. The gameplay difficulty is brutal, just like life itself.
The game is displayed in a “waist up” cinematic style, for a more personal experience. Gameplay features side-scrolling exploration, puzzle solving, retro arcade-style boss battles, and plays in letterbox full screen HD.
