Evaluation

The Last Visit: 98th is a first-person psychological horror walking simulator that launched on May 20, 2025. In the weeks following release, Union State Games issued a handful of small patches addressing bugs and adding minor quality-of-life options such as camera shake toggle and an FPS limiter — typical post-launch housekeeping for a small indie title. Crucially, by December 19, 2025 the studio announced that it had moved on to an entirely new project called "Let Me In," explicitly describing it as "a completely new project from the same development team." A playable demo for Let Me In went live on February 9, 2026. There have been no patch notes, announcements, or any other communications about The Last Visit: 98th since July 1, 2025 — nearly a year ago as of today. The game carries no DLC listings, no season pass, no roadmap, and no promises of additional content. The studio's public focus has fully shifted to their next title. The Last Visit: 98th launched as a self-contained, story-complete experience and all available evidence confirms it remains so.
