Evaluation
The Order of the Thorne - The King's Challenge launched on January 26, 2016 as the first entry in an anthology series. In a June 2016 post, Infamous Quests described it as "a toe in a larger story" and announced the second game in the series, Fortress of Fire, as a separate upcoming title. Importantly, this means the sequel is a standalone game — not additional content for The King's Challenge itself. The King's Challenge received only a minor bug fix post-launch (February 1, 2016) and has had no developer communications of any kind since June 28, 2016. The store description contains no mention of planned DLC, expansions, or future updates, and no DLC is listed for this title. The game launched as a complete, self-contained adventure and has received no post-launch content updates. It can be considered a finished product as of its release date.
Evidence
Developer describes The King's Challenge as the beginning of a larger story and announces Fortress of Fire as the next separate game in the anthology series — not as DLC or an update to this title. Last official communication from the developer.
Store description presents The King's Challenge as a complete, standalone point-and-click adventure with no mention of planned updates, DLC, or additional content.
