Evaluation

The Red Solstice launched on July 9, 2015 and received post-launch content over the following years. The developer shipped two paid DLC packs — the Armory DLC on February 26, 2016 and the Operations Pack on February 20, 2018 — as well as several free content updates including new game modes and maps. The Operations Pack was the final piece of paid content, and all three DLC listed on the store are fully released with no unreleased entries. After the Operations Pack shipped in February 2018, the developer's attention visibly shifted to their next title, Red Solstice 2: Survivors. News posts from 2019, 2021, and 2022 are all about that sequel, not the original game. The most recent news post tagged to this game's Steam page (September 2, 2021) is actually an update for Red Solstice 2, cross-posted here. There have been no announcements of new content, DLC, or updates for The Red Solstice since February 2018. The game has been complete since the Operations Pack released on February 20, 2018. The developer has moved on to their sequel, and no further content for this title has been communicated.
