The Sims™ 2 Legacy Collection

The Sims 2 Legacy Collection is a re-release of the classic 2004 game, bundling The Sims 2 with all of its expansion and stuff packs (17 packs in total), modernized for Windows 10/11. It launched on January 31, 2025 as a complete package — the store description makes clear this is a curated collection of existing content, not a new game receiving ongoing expansion. There is no indication of new content being planned beyond this collection. Following launch, the developer shipped eight patches through April 10, 2025, addressing technical issues such as crashes, file corruption errors, resolution scaling, and compatibility problems on modern hardware. This is consistent with a studio polishing a legacy re-release for a contemporary audience, rather than developing new content. The most recent developer communication was a bug fix patch on April 10, 2025, and no announcements of future content, DLC, or expansions have been made. The game shipped as a finished, all-inclusive package and the developer's post-launch activity has been limited to technical maintenance. There is no active content roadmap, no unreleased DLC, and no developer statement suggesting further content development.
