The Sims™ Legacy Collection

The Sims Legacy Collection is a re-release of the original The Sims (2000) and all seven of its expansion packs, updated for Windows 10/11. The store description explicitly lists every included pack — The Sims, Livin' Large, House Party, Hot Date, Vacation, Unleashed, Superstar, and Makin' Magic — and frames this as the complete, definitive package of the original game's content. There is no indication of additional paid content, expansions, or new game features planned. Since launch on January 31, 2025, the developer shipped seven bug-fix patches addressing crashes, memory issues, windowing problems, and compatibility issues on modern hardware. The launch itself included a compatibility overhaul adding widescreen (16:9) support and improved scaling for modern monitors. The last developer communication was Patch Notes #7 on April 3, 2025. No posts since that date have appeared, and no announcements of future content or updates have been made. This collection launched as a complete, bundled package of a 25-year-old game series. The post-launch patches were maintenance work to stabilize the re-release on modern systems. There are no unreleased DLC entries, no roadmap, and no developer statements pointing to future content. The game shipped as a finished product and the content was complete on launch day.
