The Sims 3 launched on Steam on January 27, 2011, and received an extensive catalog of paid DLC — 11 expansion packs and 8 stuff packs — all of which have been released. The final piece of content was the "Into the Future" expansion pack, released on October 23, 2013. Since that date, Electronic Arts and The Sims Studio have shifted focus entirely to The Sims 4, which launched in 2014. No new DLC, updates, or developer communications about future Sims 3 content have been made.
