The Surge

The Surge launched on May 15, 2017 and received a full post-launch DLC cycle. Two paid expansions were released: A Walk in the Park on December 5, 2017, and The Good, the Bad and the Augmented on October 2, 2018. Several smaller free DLC packs were also released during this period (CREO Special Employee Kit on launch day, the Fire & Ice Weapon Pack on October 10, 2017, and the Cutting Edge Pack on April 17, 2018). All five DLC items listed on the store are marked as released with no unreleased entries remaining. The final patch (Patch 15) was released on November 27, 2018, addressing bugs in the last expansion. After that, developer communications shifted entirely to The Surge 2, which launched on September 24, 2019. The April 2018 news post for the Cutting Edge Pack explicitly noted "this isn't the end for The Surge franchise" — but framed that around the sequel, not additional content for the original game. An Augmented Edition bundling the full game and all DLC was announced in October 2018 alongside the final expansion. All content for the original game was complete as of the last DLC release on October 2, 2018, with no further content announced or released since. The developer's focus moved fully to The Surge 2, confirming the original game's content cycle had concluded.
