The Wizards - Dark Times: Brotherhood

The Wizards – Dark Times: Brotherhood launched in June 2020 and underwent a major transformation with the Brotherhood update on November 28, 2023, adding 3-player co-op, a remastered campaign, enhanced graphics, and new enemies — supported by a publishing partnership with Vertigo Games. After that overhaul, the developer maintained a consistent update pattern: Patch 1.25 in April 2024 added a new multiplayer enemy (the Shroom King), Patch 1.26 in June 2024 delivered global cross-play between PC VR, PS VR2, and Meta Quest (completing the roadmap at the time), and Patch 1.28 on March 20, 2025 added the new "Citadel of Aetheris" multiplayer map with enemy rebalancing and UI improvements. Smaller feature patches followed in April 2025 and May 2025. The most recent developer communication of any kind was May 15, 2025. As of October 8, 2026, the developer has been silent for approximately 17 months. This is well beyond the pattern of major updates (which arrived roughly every 6–12 months) and also far exceeds the smaller patch cadence of roughly every 1–2 months seen throughout 2024 and early 2025. No explanation for the silence has been provided, and no future content has been announced or cancelled. The developer has not stated that development is complete. Because outstanding development momentum existed as of May 2025 and the silence has now extended well past the historical cadence without any communication, the current status of development is uncertain.
