Thymesia launched on August 18, 2022 as a complete, self-contained action-RPG. The only DLC ever released — an original soundtrack and a digital artbook — both shipped on launch day, indicating they were always part of the release package rather than post-launch content additions. Following launch, the developer (OverBorder Studio) issued two patches in August and October 2022 addressing bugs and balance issues. These were the last official communications from the developer. No expansions, story DLC, or additional content were ever announced or released. No roadmap was published, no season pass was offered, and no unreleased DLC appears in the store listing. The developer has been silent since October 25, 2022, but this is consistent with a studio that shipped a finished product and moved on — there were never any outstanding content commitments made. Thymesia launched as a complete game and remains so.

Seen as the answer to all the kingdom’s ailments, alchemy became a widely used practice across the land, with denizens welcoming it into their homes, using it to enhance and heal as they saw fit. When the price of alchemy became too steep, attempts to halt its use were made, each as woefully unsuccessful as the last, with the catastrophic consequences felt across the realm. Within days, the kingdom fell to chaos, infected monsters prowling the blood-soaked streets, all hope of a cure lost.
