TIEBREAK launched on Steam on August 22, 2024, graduating from an Early Access period that had been running since January 2024. Big Ant Studios has maintained a highly active post-launch development cadence over the two years since release.
The game's most significant content milestone was the Grand Slam Edition update on June 25, 2026, which added all four Grand Slam tournaments (Australian Open, Roland-Garros, Wimbledon, and the US Open) to Career mode, alongside the United Cup and Laver Cup, a new Signature Series system for unlocking outfits and animations, two new players, new uniform brands across both tours, and a range of gameplay and AI improvements. This update also rebranded the game to TIEBREAK – Grand Slam Edition.
Before that, on May 15, 2025, the developer released a major "TIEBREAK+" update that introduced Rivalry Mode (Federer vs. Nadal matches), the Maria Sharapova World Tour mode, new player variants and uniforms, and all improvements since the original 2024 launch.
More recently, feature patches arrived on July 29, 2026 (Roland-Garros attire additions, ball physics adjustments, new camera settings) and August 6, 2026 (remaining Roland-Garros kits, career mode player management improvements). As of August 25, 2026, the most recent developer communication was just 19 days ago.
Both released DLC items (the Vintage Pack and Djokovic Challenges Pack) shipped on launch day and are fully available. No unreleased DLC is listed on the store, and the developer has not formally announced specific upcoming content. However, the sustained and frequent update pattern — spanning two years with multiple major content drops and regular feature patches — shows that Big Ant Studios continues to actively invest in and expand the game.
